Title: Kawkawa Lake
Post by: fullahead on March 22, 2008, 09:20:28 AM
Thought I would start my 30 horsepower jet outboard first time this year, and do a little fishing as well, anchored. Is there a power restriction on Kawkawa Lake? I haven’t been up there before.

This lake is primarily used for water skiing in the summer (July and August) so as long as the lakeside property owners have an interest in doing so, there will be no restrictions in place. This time of the year, the lake is shared by anglers with boats of all sizes but bigger boat owners usually do the minimal speed as they are fully aware of the presence of anglers in float tubes etc. Yesterday I even saw a 18' jet boat motoring along with an electric motor.

Maybe that's what we should be doing this summer, there won't be much fishing anyway. ;D
