Last time I was there I had my salmon rods with 20 main and 15 leader, likely a bit of overkill for trout, lol...
My pond rod is 4lb main with 2lb leader, I'm wondering if that's enough or if it's too too ultralight. Still have time to get it respooled with 6/4...
Thanks:)

For float fishing, I use 6 mono for main and 4 mono or fluro for leader.
For lure casting, I use 10 braid for main and 6 fluro for leader.

Thanks!

Always go heavy on main line and light on tippet. 40lb braid is quite thin as main line

6 lb Maxima Ultragreen and 4 lb Flouro leader.

Just back from Tunkwa. Plenty of fish on 6 lbs flouro to either a leech or chronic. My buddy was catching fish on his 2 wt and 4 lbs mono as tippet, so your small set up with 6/4 will work, you just gotta be patient.

Awesome!
Going out with the nieces and nephews, so hopefully bobbers and worms will bring some entertainment and maybe hatch some interest in angling in general.
Were you trolling the leeches or stripping?
Is chronic shorthand for chironimid?

I'm guessing so... Maybe the green ones.
