Title: New rod?
Post by: gmanfxp on July 24, 2004, 11:59:08 PM
Accidently stepped on my good rod today...it be broke :(

Used the rod for all species of salmon on the Vedder and all but Chinook on the Fraser.  Was a 10' 6"  Shakespeare medium action line rated 8 - 15 lb test.  Thing I like best about the rod is it was light as a feather and you could cast all day long effortlessly.

Any affordable recommends for a replacement that would serve the same purpose and hopefully be quite light as well?

Can't speak for Fred's but email him. A few members seem to be impressed by a new tackle shop on Kingsway. I forget the name but look it up on the previous threads.

Hey I just bought a 11' Fenwick HMX from the Royal Sportsman.

Best rod I have ever had!

The 11' is very strong and has more sensitivity than most other 10'6" rods.

Best advice I can give is go see alex.

Sorry 'bout your old rod ... that sucks!
CJ.
