I like it!!!  How did you rig that up?  I have an Olympus 850SW but find that the Pentax waterproofs take such nicer pics, kinda regretting the purchase now.

I bought a telescopic window washing pole at home depo and made a bracket that the camera threads on to.  The bracket I just black taped it onto the end of the pole but has to be able to pivot up and down to adjust the angle.  The pole when collapsed just about 6 feet long so I can take it everywhere when I am fishing.  
When taking pictures on the end of the pole I set the camera to timer mode an blast of a bunch of photos cuz the method is like a box of chocolates.  Ya never know what your going to get.

I got desperate the other day and cast my camera under a drift float to look for fish.  That worked find but I did not see any fish.  I have found steelies with the pole cam though.  

I have an Olympus as well but it does not have the timer mode the the pentax does. And it has that annoying card thing going on.  I hate the card.  I prefer a plane jane SD card.   Also the pentax lens is exposed so it is easier to keep clean and manage water droplets etc. The Pentax also does wide screen video which is nice.

Whaaa!? No way! lol that's awesome, I've never heard of anyone going to such lengths to locate fish  :D.  Although, I often wonder about snorkelling the river from top to bottom with a water proof note pad to document steelhead lies, one day maybe, on a river that's not the vedder  ;), I'd bet you'd learn a lot of nothing else.
