Title: Monster Sockeye!
Post by: BigFisher on August 17, 2006, 10:50:07 AM
Was anybody out fishing the Fraser yesterday? Did you guys notice all the huge Sockeye being pulled out of the water?
Thiese fish were getting really big, way bigger then usual. Just curious if anyone else noticed!

Would that be the Adams Run yet?  I also heard that the biggest sockeye are the pitt river socks. The gentleman I was fishing with said they are up to 15lbs. Was he being sincere or was that just a true fisherman story? ::) ;D

My dad and I trolled them in the check alot about 10-12 years back...one run we hit (horsefly as I recall) had the average fish around 12lbs and we nabbed a couple around 14...those were hogs and you can bag 4 a trip it the salt  :o
