i would think the water is very low due to lack of rain,i don't think the fish can get up to the hatery unless they release the water from the dam.

Well DUDE!

Time to wake up Coho are a fall fish, the Cap gets what is called Blue Blues or Grills to some.  These fish are two year olds, it is the only River I know of that gets Coho in April the rest of the River's don't see Coho until Sept.-Nov.  So to answer your question No the Cap isn't finished with Coho yet it is just starting, THE SEYMOUR IS A WASTE OF TIME AND NO POINT FISHING IT.

C.F

I guess those 6 or 7 coho (between 5 - 8 pounds) I've caught in last 2 weeks at the mouth of the cap at ambleside buzzbombing were in my imagination.

(tide changes near the marker on foot/waders)

you do know CF, there is ALSO a different run of bigger northern coho which comes in during the fall....right??...you are aware there are 2 sets of coho runs here..

I had always been under the impression that a 4-6lb run came through late June/July, and then another, stockier run, came through in Sept/Oct.

I've had some decent luck up at doctor's pool in the mornings this past week as well. A few small 2-3 pound cohos and many steelhead and the odd cutthroat which i've released, which have all BIT  ;) on crocs and bolo spinners. the 2 monkeys there in the morning trying to snag with 30 pound test and zingers have given up this week.
