so...........whats the 'any fish?' sign?
jt.
-
the any fish sign is two hands in the air
-
similar to what you see on Cops ! ;D ;D
-
similar, but the palms of the hands are facing each other in the any fish sign

The morning tides are really small right now. It's only moving around one foot from low to high.Afternoon tides on the other hand are huge with ten feet or more of change.Problem is second high tide is falling around 10pm or so.Tides will improve and so will the fishing

Hey Cooter how'd ya do today?

Oooh, you were asking if we got fish Lucky, I thought the hand gesture meant if we were selling firewood or not... ;D Nope, no fish. Well, actually, two. Two lively smolts for me. Water was clear, but the level was quite high actually, perfect would be the word to describe it. I don't know where those fish that Gumboots was into yesterday went.... ;D

I checked the hatchery today before hitting the river. There were only two in the ladder. About 3lbs a piece.
-
all i saw in the fish ladder was an old spawned out dark steelhead
-
And if we get some more rain overnight Doctors pool will be in better shape tomorrow.

Took my usual Friday trip out to the Capperoo along with FatteyMagrattey and a friend from work and we arrived at about 1:30ish. The water was in perfect condition as far as we could see and our hopes were very high considering Gumboots report earlier. So away we went attempting to catch the un-catchable. Meaning, if they aint there you're not going to catch em. A couple smolts and a few other smolt bites but that's it. Fished for four hours and enjoyed the beauty and each others company but damn, sure wish the fish
were in. Oh well, no biggy, we'll get em next time, lol.

Did you fish in one spot for four hours?

Checking out the reports and what Happened ?? Sorry you didn't find any , but ROBERT is RIGHT , they are there if your at the right place . or sometimes just wait them out . over the many years there has usually be a 6 am. bite , read my report...1 st trip I was late... 2 nd trip on time just when their moving on thru . they DON'T hang around .
Fish Assassin , I totally agree with your Quote : It's not as easy as some people seem to think . Some regulars do well if they know what their doing .
Done this for quite a few years now and have my places . they are there ...... good luck ...
