Hey guys, keep a look out for a Rainshadow 10'6" drift rod, grey in color with chamelion guides mated with a black Islander Steelheader. The rod says "Custom built for Dan Klyne" on it. I'm also missing a 10'6 army and navy house brand rod with a Quantum Iron level wind.
These rods were lifted out of my canopy on my truck Sunday 7/19/09. I'm thinking it was at the burger king at Whatcom Rd.

Don't these thieves know about the commandment "THOU SHALL NOT STEAL" ..... The stealing only leaves the victim "mad as hell" & "sad" & "bitter" ...plus the guilty party lives with fear & guilt..... Some times they go & sell the stuff to a party who has no idea it is "hot"........... Canopy needs bars big locks heavy enforced steel plates etc... like a veicle transporting prisoners or money etc.... Everyone keep an eye on your stuff as these theivers are everywhere looking for an opportunity..............Hope ya get rods etc...back ....

that was a very bizaare response.
good luck finding your gear, I'd keep my eyes on craigslist if I were you.

Actually it would be bizarre if he said my drinking club has a skiing problem.

Just wanted to bump my thread back to the top since it has been a while since the theft... I also took a look at my warranty card and the serial # on the reel was #2707 just in case anyone ever runs into it. The center pin rod was also built by Russ with Stryker Rod and Reel and it says his company name on the rod. It also had custom Burl cork, a very unique looking rod and it sticks out like a sore thumb with the chamelion guides...

Yes. Don't think that it will come up for sale though. I think whoever has it is probably fishing it.

Ah...don't thinks so.
Most break-in thieves aren't fishermen...let's hope not anyways.
Good luck with it resurfacing.

Been a long time. Still curious if anyone has came across my rainshadow rod? It reads custom built for Dan Klyne
