Water was nice today but no bites, almost time to call it a year.

Upper was still quite high and flowing hard. Vis was ok but didn't see any hookups. Agree that the season is winding down. It's time to go from looking for steelhead to looking for my golf ball. Ironically they are both in the same spot, the water.

Well it was a good first year for myself. Prob had about 20 trips and 20 000 casts. Landed 2 bull trout andmy first steelie. Wasn't sure if it was a hatch mis-clip or wild so I release it. Also given the weak return, I thought might better have it make some more for the return 3-4 years from now.  With April winding down hopefully I'll get one last trip. On to trout sturgeon and summer salmon.

Water is still high, but visibility is 2.5-3 feet from top to bottom.
Lots of empty water. Didn't see or hear of any fish.

Really? We were fishing upper at first light and vis was terrible from Borden down. Maybe 1ft max.

Perhaps secchi disks should be standard issue for those reporting water clarity ;)
