Stave River 2010 River Conditions
« on: September 20, 2010, 11:26:50 AM »

Has anyone checked out the river recently?  How's the lack of parking situation on the west side affecting things?

Thanks.

I would definitely be interested to see how that pans out too.

I suspect you will be OK this month but, once the chum run starts in earnest in October, I expect the parking situation will be a nightmare.   Only made worse by the fact that everybody will be forced onto the East side of the river - it really too bad ???

The Stave always runs gin clear, have never seen it any other way.  Asking how the water is seems kinda pointless.. Go fishing.....

Park gates opens up at 9am.  Room for about 50 vehicles. Early birds generally park near the entrance on the side of the road - albeit there is not much room for that - the vehicles are half on the road.  I forecast that we'll see 'No Parking' signs there as well in the near future.

I wonder if Translink would consider a Community Shuttle service?  ;D  They would probably even make money on that run!  ;D

The only water condition anyone has to consider is the tide levels and when extra water is released from the dam.

Otherwise, as Daumzilla stated:

The Stave always runs gin clear
