Looks like a Adams sockeye. I would have kept it. They are the best tasting of all the sox that go up the Fraser.
-
the only thing wrong with that spring is BS caught it and not me,ha ha ,ha ,if it was a Adams sockey ,i would have to call the dfo on BS.lol ;D :D
-
Maybe I should have stated " would you have kept this Vedder Red" !!! ;D ;D ;D Don't worry though Searun, you got booted from the B-Ball tourny, so you may now have some time to show me up!! ;D ;D I hear that you may be hitting the flow tomorrow? ;D
-
Adams sockeye ;D sorry just funny, I'm not quite sure if I would keep a fish like that, depends how desperate I am.

BS i don't wish to show you up i would have to retire all together just to come close to the amount of days you spend on the flow,or maybe i could sell two or three of my kids ,ya that would work, oops the wifes coming ,lol.yep I'm suffering withdraw but from now through till march I'm good to go,no trip for me though until the weekend at the earliest.

nothing wrong with that fish, I bet it tasted awsome on the BBQ
-
I would have kept it if i was going to keep one that is...i'm assuming this one came in darker and turned chromer? If the flesh felt firm then i would say it's a keeper...
-
I would never keep and ugly boot like that.. you are a Beek Son!!!!!
-
I would have kept it.
[sorry Geff, had to remove the rest of your post. Don't really want to get onto that road again.]
-
Anyhow, here is the reason I kept that fish. First, it put up a hell of a fight. Second, I had always been told that a Vedder Spring with a bit of color on them are fine as long as the meat is firm. Which this one was. I had never kept on before, so I was wondering what the taste would be like compared to the Fraser Reds. Now I know, and I was not dissappointed. Would I keep another one, only time will tell. But, I don't get to the Vedder much at all in the Summer. So the run is pretty safe from me!!
Another strange fact was, that the fish actually chromed up, like a bar after it was on the beach a couple min, and stayed that way. But we were to lazy to retake the pics. ??? Guess we shouldn't have been, thus this whole thing would not have gotten started over there!! ;D
-
however you did brightin up the picture ;D ;D ;D, I think the real reason why you kept it is becasue you dont catch many fish and you wanna take advantage of the ones you do catch ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
You got me!! Your right I don't catch many, so I have to do what I can!! :-[ :-\ All those pics, well, in truth, those are other peoples fish that I had to pay for them to let me take a pic with it!! I know, I know, it is really sad, but I am still trying to get my own, really I am!! ???
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
I know its ok fishfreak should start doing that ;D
-

-
Bs is not kidding when he says he has to pay people to take photos with their fish ,thats how i pay my mortgage. ;) ;D :D
-
