Title: Capilano River, July 5th 2008
Post by: ~IvAn~ on July 06, 2008, 04:17:58 PM
Fished the cap for a couple of hours yesterday, my buddy managed to land a 10 pounder!!!!!!!! on a old rusty home made spinner from a beer bottle cap. It was supposed to be a joke because fishing was soooooo slow......damn.... but first cast WHAM!!!!!!!!!FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY SMOKES!!! that thing cleared right out of the water 4-5 times before he landed it. Sadly, my buddy was too over joyed that he decided to go for a nice dunk in the frigid waters, hence the reason for me holding the fish ( he was a bit too wet to be in the pic)  ;) ;) ;)  ;D

Nice fish and good story!

That explains why there were 6 guys in there when I strolled by this afternoon... One fish is caught and the place is a zoo  ;D

Once again, trip number 5, skunked! Lots of sketchy hiking today.

Cheers,
Nicole

I was there for an hour this morning, perfect water for fly casting but did not even see any chasers.  Eric left with nothing and he said Essan had no luck as well.
