Title: has anyone started chum fishing in the Vedder lately?
Post by: koifish on October 10, 2015, 11:53:07 AM
I'm thinking of going this weekend. But it will be jam packed probably.
Any luck with chums? It's kinda early I guess

Chum are showing up in better numbers with each passing day. There are already quite a few of them now especially in the lower portions of the C-V. I don't really target chum but I do get the odd one when fishing coho. I've landed two so far, both in the past couple days as well.

I landed 4 in the lower end on thursday - there was  a lot of them with good numbers of spring (hooked 4 landed 1) plus the odd coho

saw quite a few in the upper river yesterday. no one around hooked into any......... maybe cause the rafters were out scaring all the fish. not complaining though...still a great day to look for pools holding some coho.
