I've got a trip planned to Terrace/Smithers/kitimat Aug 18-28.
The weather isn't looking good.
I don't know the skeena and tribs well enough to know if this amount of rain will cause any blowouts or unfishable water. Can anyone check out the weather, and give me an informed opinion. Might cancel if the water is not fishable.

The light rain won't affect the skeena main at all. But continous rain will hurt a few smaller tributary. Make it difficult to wade across or less bank to hike. But I would guess the fishing not bad.
The only concern is when you sleep in tent, it won't be very comfortable.

Yes, that's my main concern...I'll be tenting. Doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

puchase a cheaper pop up canopy like an ozark trail from wal-mart. tarp off all of the sides and use that around your tent as an extra shelter.
copper river is your go -to tributary.
I've taken yearly steelhead trips up there every year since '14, missing this year.....Im in New Zealand 8)
have fun.
