What is the latest news? Thanks.

Been out a couple of times including high tide yesterday and there is no doggies yet. Water is lower than I have ever seen at this time of year so until we get some rain things will be slow. REMEMBER that Squamish Chum are closed to retention until further notice.
-
Dereke, do you think it will be open for retention this year?

Nope.

It's a ghost town right now and the river is extremely low! With no chums in sight anywhere it's unlikely to open for retetntion!

Supposed to rain starting Monday. This will give a good indication if we are going to get any fish. Hopefully they show because I have seen some roll but they are not around in any great numbers as of yet. PM me if you are coming up this way britguy, we will have to meet up.

any reports from the squamish river yet? has it been raining much up there? good spots right now?
-
good spots right now?
Hit several spots yesterday and yes there are some fish. The upper part of the lower river and its trib has alot more fish than down low is all I will say. Explore for yourself and you might get rewarded. Visibility was very low when I left yesterday and it poured last night. Expecting another day of rain tomorrow so it will likely be blown for a few days. These slides really make it unfishable in a hurry. Remember there is still ZERO retention of chum in the Squamish river.

Went to the lower today and it was totally dead. Water still crazy low. The rain will help but will make it unfishable until after the weekend I would say.
-
This is starting to sound bleak again like last year :'( :'( Im really hoping to hear something good from you Dereke ;D ya know something like "get your pontoon and yourself up here !!" ;D ;D

The Squamish is now blown with the rain but the chum have been starting to show up.

Looks like we could be in for a real wait to get at the Squamish. Buckets more rain in the forecast later this week. b :-[

Should be at least fishable by Tuesday in the tribs if not the mainstem.. One good day then back to a blowout again. I have schooling to do so its kind of nice knowing the weather makes the decision for me. She was raging today along with the tribs when i checked it out :o :o
