Title: new regs: province wide bait ban 2006-2007 (streams)

 hi
 i was just at a fishing store to pick up some hooks,when i overheard the owner and a couple other guys disscusing it.the regs had just come in,and they where pretty upset about the bait ban.and after reading about i don t like it much either,its going to hurt the sport,imho.and now the fish are dependent on license fees for their survival,its something that should be changed.at least we have a year to fight it,here s an email address    fish.web@gems9.gov.bc.ca

does that include the tidal fraser....thats gonna suck big time and piss alot of people off.

 yes bird river is a stream.i have regs right here in front of me.theres some good info in chris g thread read through might help with any questions you might have,cheers

mmmmm...I don't see how you can tie this one to the fly fishers. I am one and certainly don't support the proposed bait ban.

 lol,i dont think they meant all flyfishermen. ;D just their lobby.but from reading the regs (and i m not trying to flame)they are the only group to benfit.

 benfit maybe too,strong of word maybe it should have said not hurt,cheers

Mr. Pink, of course you can copy my letter & send it out to as many politicians as you can.  We need people to knock on  some dummy heads out there who are neglecting the big pictures and too chicken to confront the illegal FN poachers, but jump on us law abiding citizens with rules which are ridiculous and mean little for saving fish stocks.  If we don't exist, they could look pretty bad, because no one cares about what they say except us.  We are easy targets, thus we get all these sour deals.  We make them feel that they are still important & relevant. What a joke!

Are you sure you read printed regulation changes?  I thought Rod said it is only in the proposal stage.
