A goto fly for fishing interior lakes.
Materials
Hook: Mustad C53S #8-12
Thread: Brown 0/8 Uni-Thread
Tail: Peacock fibres
Body: Olive Green Antrone Dubbing
Eyes: Black Mono
Thorax: Chocolate Brown Dubbing
Legs: Peacock Fibres
Steps
1. Tie in the mono eyes just behind the eye on the
hook.
2. Tie in peacock fibres and cut to length at the back
of the fly for the tail.
3. Apply dubbing wax to the thread and add on the green
dubbing.
4. Wrap the dubbing towards the mono eyes.
5. Add in 2 more pieces of the peacock fibres and tie
them in a loop so they look life like.
6. Apply some more dubbing wax to the thread and add
the brown dubbing and cover up the rest of the hook that is showing
and thread.
7. Whip finish between the eye of the hook and the
mono eyes and your fly is complete.
