The Fly Library: Salmon & Steelhead Flies
Hook: Mustad 9672 #8-10 Steps 1. Place the gold bead on the hook. 2. Wrap the tying thread to the back off the hook shank. 3. Take a small clump off marabou off the plume and make it the length of the hook. Tie in. 4. Tie in a 2-3" piece of the sparkle chenille. 5. Now tie in a piece of green saddle hackle by the tips. 6. Wrap the chenille covering all of the hook shank to the bead at the head of the fly and tie off excess. 7. Wrap the hackle towards the bead evenly spacing the wraps and tie off. 8. Whip finish. |
