Morten Creek chum salmon release on April 15th
Posted on March 31st, 2008 by ZoAnn Morton, Pacific Streamkeepers

Well our little Chum salmon are growing nicely and will be ready for release to Lynn Creek on April 15th. We will meet at 6:00 pm at Bridgman Park. Parking is very limited so carpool or walk down if at all possible. This is a fun, educational, hands on experience. You will learn a little about our local salmon, the volunteers who work on enhancing the runs and will get to take your own container of small fry to the creek to gently release them to the wilds.

This is a wonderful family opportunity good for any age. Check out a few of last years photos on this page.

This event will not occur if it is raining heavy as the little ones would get washed out to the harbour too quickly. Any questions call ZoAnn at 604-986-5059

Please share this invite with neighbours, friends, family, guides, scouts etc We have lots of buckets and fry for all!

But if you have a little bucket (ice cream pail size) with a sturdy handle you can bring it along.
