Chilliwack River Cleanup on July 14th
Posted on July 14th, 2007 by Rodney Hsu, webmaster
The CHILLIWACK/VEDDER RIVER CLEANUP COALITION is looking forward to your participation in the next scheduled cleanup. The date is SATURDAY, JULY 14, 2007 with registration from 9:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. Once again this registration will take place at the GREAT BLUE HERON NATURE RESERVE located at the southern most end of Sumas Prairie Rd (Off Keith Wilson Rd.) in Chilliwack. Of course you can kick-off this important day with coffee and other goodies compliments of Tim Horton’s.
This is an important cleanup date as the area has been under considerable pressure due to the usual high interest now that our good weather has arrived. The need for protecting the area against environmental damage is as usual significant and we look forward to your continued support.
We hope you will find the time to join us again to assist us in reaching our objective of protecting the environment. The program is working and its success is due to the continued support of our many volunteers. Why not contact some of your friends to join you (us) in this venture? First-timers are especially welcome.
Finally, a reminder to dress appropriately for this kind of activity and, at this time of year, mosquito repellent might be a good idea.
Thanks for your past support and the CVRCC directors hope to see you on July 14.
Terry Bodman, Director, CVRCC
