Rice Lake Family Fishing Day Posted on June 11th, 2007 by Rodney Hsu, webmaster
The Rice Lake Family Fishing Day is a community event sponsored by the Seymour Salmonid Society, GVRD and the Family Fishing Day Society of BC. It has become quite a popular event. On Sunday June 17th, you and your families are invited to enjoy the educational activities and fishing that event organizers have planned.
Rainbow trout will be released into Rice Lake prior to the event by the hatchery. A limited number of fishing rods will be available for kids to borrow. Stop by the educational booths to learn about the Seymour River watershed and what the Seymour Salmonid Society is doing to improve it.
Fishing with Rod will once again be attending this event. We'll be promoting our upcoming event Fish for the Future as well as providing plenty of information on fishing in British Columbia. Below is a video clip of 2003's event.
