Celebrate the Coquitlam River
Posted on March 19th, 2007 by Watershed Watch
The Kwikwetlem First Nation will be hosting an Open House to celebrate the Coquitlam River on Saturday, April 21st. This three hour event aims to showcase activities that benefit the river, its fish, and the community.
The Kwikwetlem are river stewards concerned about the health of the Coquitlam River. They are inviting the community to support efforts to fix the river, and to enjoy displays, a short presentation, and barbequed wild salmon.
The Open House will take place between Noon and 3:00pm, with a presentation at 1:00pm. It will be next to the Coquitlam River on the Kwikwetlem Indian Reserve, located at the end of Colony Farm Road off Highway #7 (near the Mary Hill bypass) in Coquitlam (see map).
No formal RSVP is required. For those who wish to confirm or seek more information, please contact Watershed Watch.
