Tofino's Water Advisories Boil Water Advisory & Shut down of Commercial Businesses The WATER SHORTAGE has become extremely severe. All lodging, food service businesses are asked to shut down PRIOR TO FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST , 2006 until further notice. Other commercial water users must not consume any water whatsoever. Priority will be given to continued residential use. Due to the extreme water shortage the District of Tofino has implemented the use of Ginnard Creek water reserves south of Industrial Way. The Provincial Health has advised that as a precautionary measure all water used for human consumption south of Industrial Way must be boiled. If you have planned a guided fishing trip or lodge stay, please contact your guide or lodge immediately for the latest updates.
