Massive oil spill in Howe Sound
Posted on August 8th, 2006 by Rodney Hsu, Webmaster

Last Friday, August 4th, a cargo ship hit a pier in Squamish, resulted in a massive fuel spill in the Squamish River estuary and Howe Sound. This incidence is yet another major blow to a river system that has already suffered so much from last year's chemical spill in the Cheakamus River.
