The Pacific Salmon Foundation is accepting applications until
midnight September 30 2005 for the Stewardship Community Bursary
Program.
Background
Joe Kambeitz, Community Advisor Fisheries and Oceans Canada, began
fundraising 18 years ago for a bursary to support students in need
that wanted careers supporting Pacific salmon.
- Bridging between Salmonids in the Classroom and higher education
- Assisting students in need that are committed to Pacific salmon
- Supporting volunteer community's efforts to support their student
volunteers
Joe has donated carved silver bracelets, belt buckles and necklaces
to the PSF dinner auctions to raise funds for this bursary.
He also assisted stewardship groups to fundraise and donate to
the PSF for the bursary. Anson Frost and other benefactors have
also donated to this bursary. PSF is working with you and the community
to grow this endowment to increase the numbers and amounts of the
bursaries over time.
Joe selected PSF as program administrator because of our shared
visions and common objectives.

full time student in good standing, in accredited program, year
