| Over 1,000 visitors gathered around the Seymour Conservative Reserve and Rice Lake on June 19th for the annual Rice Lake Family Fishing event. This event, hosted by the Seymour Salmonid Society, was just one of many fantastic activities that took place during the 6th Annual BC Family Fishing Weekend. Rice Lake is located in North Vancouver. | Guess the number of salmon and study a bug's life, there were many other activities to take part in beside trout fishing. | |

| Other major groups that attended the event included BC Hydro Powersmart and Waterwise Safety Team. The event aimed to provide family fun but at the same time to raise public awareness in outdoor safety and conservation. | |
