More
info for kids please
Dear FWR,
I can't say enough about your site. It has been
informative and entertaining. I am new to fishing (well I used to
fish as a kid 20 years ago ... but that doesn't really count). Now
I'm fishing with my 3 year old in Victoria, bass and perch mostly.
But my real love is salmon.
Keep up the good work! "A fishing with kids"
section is the only thing I would add. I'll send you any interesting
photos as they come up. I attached his first fish, yellow perch,
a great fish to get kids started on.

Deep fried chum is a hit!
Dear FWR,
I live in Michigan. U.S.A. and try to use the Internet
for some recipes. I originally started out looking for a batter
for deep fried chicken using buttermilk and tarragon seasoning,
and then found recipes for fish, and it brought back the memories
of some good deep fried fish, like cod and such and the delicious
flavored deep fried chips (fries) and wondered if you had a recipe
for the batter. I just found it on your web page and now will try
it out. It looks like I may be able to do this and hope it turns
out as good as it looks on your photos of it. Thank you ever so
much for the photos that accompany your recipes.
I also see where some use cornmeal mixed with the
flour and may give it another flavor. Here's to new ideas on old-time
favorites. I don't know how I finally stumbled on this as I was
using a search for the recipes and was surprised at how many others
enjoy the battered fish and chips.
thank you very much!
Phil
